Legitimate Work at Home Jobs

So you are looking for a legitimate work at home job. Who isnt? I have been working from home in some capacity since my first child was born in 1999. I have not been back out in the “real world” work force since then and I have dabbled in a little bit of everything. My favorite was working a home taking customer service calls which worked well except for one small problem– a fussy 6 month old . When you take calls for a company, they want their customers to think that you are in a call center–not your pj’s( I was). You cannot have unprofessional interruptions such as a baby crying, dog barking or even a doorbell ringing ( It happened to me) . If you can guarantee a quiet environment, then a work at home job taking calls for a company might be a good fit for you.

Before you can get one of these work at home jobs, you really have to make sure that you are dealing with a legitimate company. There are so many scams out there that you really do have to be careful. Generally speaking, if a company asks you to pay money for a list then stay away! However, some work at home companies do charge a fee to apply. However this does not necessarily mean that they are a scam.
What is the money for?

Some charge for the criminal or credit background check. Others charge for the time it takes tor research your work history. Others even go so far as to make you pay for your own drug screening. They will give you a list of labs in your area and you ve got to get a blood test. This was the case with 2 of the companies I worked with. One company a good friend worked for actually what she described as a “huge chunk” out of her hair. This was for the drug testing. Evidently, everything you eat, or drink ,or smoke ends up in our hair.

Anyway…on to the list. These are some companies that I have dealt with personally, or know real life tangible people who have worked or are working for them.

Live Ops – Worked for them until my baby got too loud.
West at Home – Got hired but by this time the baby was too loud to actually take the job- My friends works for them and Live ops
Vip Desk – They have good companies for you to take calls for.
Arise – You have to get an LLC because you don’t work for them, you work for yourself. A good friend of mine takes calls from Eddie Bauer through Alpine Access
1800 Flowers – They hire real strong around Mothers Day and Valentines

When did Alpine Access start requiring an LLC? I thought there were hourly with benefits? Did they change?

Arise requires an LLC and a little money up front but they are legit too.

Does Body Magic Really Work?

As a mom of four children, I have tried almost under garment to get my figure right. However, I’d always run into the same problem: these products always did one of two things. Either they rolled up on me, or they created rolls where I previously had none.

I even used one of the most popular shapewear garments on the market today–one that has even been endorsed by an extremely well known talk show host. But it was to no avail. You see, that shapewear stops just below the bra line. Then it creates a roll between the bra and the top of the shapewear where fat pops out like a can of biscuits.

Mind you, I’m not a big girl. I wear a size 10, but even I was having these issues. Now imagine a more sizable woman. The results would really be disastrous. So the quest continued until I found the celebrities secret!

You want to know the only thing that really works…Body Magic. It lifts the butt, flattens out the abdomen and creates a super defined waist. Nothing ever worked for me until I tried this product. Gone was the super ugly back fat, side rolls and flabby belly. Hello Hourglass figure! I tried this thing on one time and I was hooked. I finally had my pre baby body back!

Why is Body Magic different? Well the secret is in the technical design of the garment. It was designed by a team medical engineers and an orthopedic surgeon. Unlike so many department store quality shapewear garments, Body Magic is actually engineered to lift and shift fatty tissue through a process called “lipotransportation”. There are a series of panels and boning strategically placed to move fat from unwanted areas such as the lower abdomen and love handles to more desirable areas such as the buttocks.

In addition to the panels, this medical grade garment also has boning or “stays” which are common in many corset type shapewear products. There are stays in the abdomen, back and at the waist creating that oft longed-for hourglass figure.

The fabric is a super strong, highly breathable material called Power Net which raises your inner metabolism by just.05% helping you to burn fat while you wear the garment. Other benefits of this shaper include: correction of the posture while your shoulders are pulled to the correct alignment, back is aligned which may decrease lower back pain and reduces flaccidity which is a lack of firmness or muscle tone.

You wont find many bad reviews for any of Ardyss’ shapewear. I don’t know how the geniuses at Ardyss came up with this but it is the last foundation garment I’ll ever own. I’m donating my drawer full of completely useless shapewear to the local thrift for someone else to struggle with. Body Magic is most definitely NOT a scam or a trick.

Ardyss Atlanta New Warehouse Distribution Center

Ardyss has opened a new warehouse/distribution center in Atlanta Georgia. This is very fitting as Atlanta has been one of the most popular centers for the Ardyss Body Magic shapewear products. The new Warehouse officially opened on May 13, 2011

Since Atlanta is the city that helped Ardyss really take off in the US, it is no surprise that they finally have a distribution center here. It is located at 2919 East Point Street. East Point 30334. I have been getting alot of calls about this warehouse. I don’t know the phone number, I’m sorry. Your best bet will be to try Ardyss directly.

Are there FREE Alternatives to Dragon Naturally Speaking

That is a good question and because I needed an alternative,it is one that I was really interested in finding out. I actually ordered Dragon Naturally Speaking back in March of this year. At first I spent time looking for a free trial. But I couldn’t find an active link anywhere.

Actually, there were a few links from about 2007 which said you could do a trial of the Dragon software, but they didn’t work. From what I have read the Nuance company has taken the links down because they want to assure that all testers get an accurate Dragon experience and this is not possible with so many different microphones available. So now if you want to try it you have to buy it. Than of course the downside is that it probably isn’t returnable. I’ll have to double check on their return policy.

Dragon Naturally Speaking

Needs an alternative for several reasons, Number one is price. The software ain’t cheap. However, it does work. So if you’ve got the $100 dollars to shell out on the talk to text software go for it.

If you don’t have the money or want to test that this is even the right type of software for your need, consider downloading a FREE Alternative to Dragon Naturally Speaking . There are other software that actually do the same thing. the quality may not be as good as Dragon who seems to have really mastered this technology, but they do work .

Tazti

My favorite alternative software to Dragon Naturally speaking is Tazti. This software I found by googling ” talk to text software. ” This program simplifies the talk to text concept and makes it a cinch to use. Dragon used up a lot of memory and space on my hard drive. I only recommend it if you have a newer computer.

The Tazti program was lightweight and responded very fast. The Dragon program had a little spinning flame icon that would start spinning when you speak a word..then it woudl type the word and wait for the next word.

Tazti was much faster Im running Windows XP with just 1 gig of RAM and it works perfectly. And did I mention it was FREE! You just tell it a command” Go jot a note tab” Which means go to the jot down a note tab. Then it opens a screen where you can type. Of course you can also type into any email editor, wordpress page editor , games and so much more.

If you are considering Dragon and don’t have the cash, try the Alternative to Dragon Naturally Speaking called Tazti. The main limitation I found is that it isn’t as good as dragon when trying to distinguish words like “bed” and “ded” > It also confuses words with a “f “or th sound.

However you can train the program to recognize your voice patterns and learn how you speak better.

Free Download Dragon Free Naturally Speaking Software Demo

Dragon Naturally Speaking Software is a speech to text editor. The software basically Turns what you say into a text format. It’s perfect for sending emails, using word press , blogging etc. You can even tell your computer to perform a specific action .For someone like me who hates to type this is a perfect alternative. With a copy of the free download of the Dragon Naturally Speaking software I could do so much more writing now because I don’t have to type . And besides everybody gets writer’s block of whoever heard of speakers block? Anyway I have every intention of buying it,I just want to test it first.

So when I found out about this Naturally Speaking Software, I thought I would take it for a spin! So the first thing I did, which I always do Is look for a demo .So I found one link to a demo To download a demo copy of the Free Naturally Speaking software, but when I clicked on the link it took me back to the Dragon Naturally Speaking home page .Evidently the link is outdated and no longer offers a free demo .I’m not sure why but I did find a clue on Yahoo answers which mentioned that the Australian Nuance company decided to remove the free demo because of microphone compatibility issues .I suppose that if your microphone does it work or is improperly configured it might seem as though its a software issue. This is really too bad because.I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t rather have the software than type.

So anyway, since the stores are closed and I cant get a free demo of Dragon Naturally Speaking V 11 tonight I decided to look for an alternative. Please see my next post from our review of the one alternative I did manage to get working it’s actually the software that used to “talk to text ” this post. Stay tuned!
